Meet Our Staff
Adam & Ruth
Adam and Ruth started working for Cru in 2009. Adam has been Cru at Virginia Tech's Director of Operations since 2015. They've been married since 2010 and have three awesome little girls, Evy, Brynn, and Eliza. They love college students and truly believe that students are a critical part of the gospel spreading throughout the world. Adam enjoys b-movies, disc golf, and reading. Ruth enjoys the Great British Baking show, being active, and coffee.
Bryan and Erin
Bryan and Erin have been serving with Cru since 2009, both overseas and here at Virginia Tech. They've just returned from a year overseas and are excited to continue working with international students, as well as our student leaders, and to foster a heart for reaching the nations within our movement. They have two daughters and a rambunctious puppy. Bryan enjoys reading, soccer, and eating Chinese food. Erin loves to garden, cook, and knit.
Rebecca graduated from Virginia Tech in 2013 with a degree in Political Science. After interning with Cru for a year she became a member of the long-term campus staff and began serving as a Director with Cru Virginia Tech in 2018. She is thrilled to be living in Blacksburg and working with the amazing students at Virginia Tech, to reach the campus with the Gospel. Rebecca enjoys all things Hokie, new adventures with friends, a good cup of coffee, and teaching spin classes.
Trey graduated from Virginia Tech in 2013 with his degree in engineering science and mechanics. While he grew up elsewhere in southwest Virginia, he has now found his true home in Blacksburg, Virginia and is looking forward to helping students find deep Christian community and grow in their love of Jesus. Trey is an avid golfer and banjoist. He also enjoys hiking in the New River Valley and reading a good story.
Laura graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011 and has worked for Cru ever since. She started walking with God in college and is excited about students finding Jesus in the midst of a chaotic world. She loves mornings, running, and exploring new places. She is a Wisconsin native, but has found her home in VA since marrying her husband Dan in 2014. Dan is in the military but loves to be around college students and volunteers with Cru. Laura and Dan have a little girl named Camille Joy.
Micah is the son of two full-time missionaries currently serving in Peru, and is from upstate New York. His passion for design brought him to Virginia Tech to study architecture, and his love for Jesus has led him to serve in full-time ministry with Cru. He also loves soccer, playing drums, designing things, and making people laugh.
